I dreaded day 3 because I always have heard it's the worst. One day, I just said, I'll try harder today. I didn't give up and I never set a quit date. I was beginning to think it was never going to help me. I was on my 2 month and I was still smoking 5-10 a day. I was starting to get discouraged because Chantix seemed to helping everyone quit but me. I researched the drug and read hundreds of reviews before I started and during the time I first started. If you are just starting out with Chantix, please continue to read this. Talk to your doc beforehand but give verenicline a try. I’ll end this then with: you’ve got nothing to lose and everything (like freedom and perhaps your life) to gain. I cannot more strongly recommend the drug than what I’ve written above. Again I FIXED the nausea with a travel tab. I fixed this by taking a travel tab along with virenicline. I realized only later that this removal was the only way I could finnaly quit permanently. NOT reduces or lessens or lowers or any like words. The MOST important thing I can write here is that verenicline REMOVES THE NICOTINE CRAVINGS. After all that my Doc prescribed virenicline - in Canada champix, in the US chantix. I tried gum, spray, patches, and white-knuckling it. I was badly addicted to nicotine smoking 3 to 4 pkgs daily. In Canada, our Public Health Service pays for two rounds of treatment. Rated for Smoking - Nicotine dependence Report
